It's me, your Author!
My name is Steve Rebellton. I am your author and I travelled around the islands of New Zealand. I spent a total of two years there and got to know this exciting country from the perspective of a fly fisherman and hiker.
At the age of 36, I took a break from my job to learn English and travelled to the other side of the world for the first time, to New Zealand. At that point, I never would have dreamed that one day I would be standing before you as an author.
My passion for fly fishing is thanks to a coincidence. But it was a friend and his manner that made me enjoy this sport. The events of my life inspired me to create something new and share my life with all fly fishers.Other authors have also followed this motto, resulting in the book MY DREAM FISH – New Zealand – Trout, Wilderness & Adventure in the Backcountry", which I hope you will enjoy.
All the best and have a good fishing trip.

Photo Journalists and Authors
Our book MY DREAM FISH – New Zealand – Trout, Wilderness and Adventure in the Hinterland contains a wealth of images, knowledge and stories, experiences and information from our photojournalists and authors, who want to bring you closer to the beauty of fly fishing in New Zealand.
They have captured their world, with their eyes and perspectives on the subject of trout fishing in New Zealand. It is a part of their soul as fly fishers that they want to share with you.
Through their photographs, they convey emotions, freedom, life's highlights, adventure, success, community and our true friendship with those who reciprocate it.
We reviewed many photographs for this book and the best of them were made available for "MY DREAM FISH – New Zealand – Trout, Wilderness and Adventure in the Backcountry".

Philosophy
My message, my philosophy!
My motto in life is to "share"!
I consistently apply this principle in all phases of my life and in my everyday routine. After all, what is life if we cannot share it with someone who is like-minded? Someone who feels the same way, thinks the same way, acts the same way, laughs at the same things and, if we are lucky, even has the same hobby.
As an angler, it would be disheartening for me if, with all the emotions I have been fortunate enough to experience, I could not share them with a friend or partner.
I also see it as my duty to do something for our environment and its creatures. I believe it is very important to exert a positive influence on our society and to contribute to ensuring that life continues for future generations.
As anglers, we are concerned with preserving fish stocks. However, this will only be possible if we contribute to this cause and treat this resource with care.
That is why I am all the more delighted that, through my work as an author, I can contribute to this cause by sharing my thoughts and those of other authors with you.
